Sonora
Most of the SCN team work takes place within the Monte Mojino Reserve. In this region, vegetation shifts from the tropical dry forest that dominates hills and slopes at lower elevations, to the oak-pine forest that grows high up in the mountains.
Yucatan
Monitoring activities are carried out in the vicinity of Xkobehaltun, a small mayan community located southwest Yucatan. The landscape of this mayan region consists of moderate hills and small flat areas dominated by tropical semi-deciduous forest.
