Where we work

Most of the SCN team work takes place within the la Monte Mojino Reserve. In this region, vegetation shifts from the tropical dry forest that dominates hills and slopes at lower elevations, to the oak-pine forest that grows high up in the mountains.

Monitoring activities are carried out in the Kaxil Kiuic Biocultural Reserve. The landscape of this mayan region consists of moderate hills and small flat areas dominated by tropical dry semi-deciduous forest.
